Ai, I have this software here, and actually it does nothing even remotely useful, but come on, I wasted so much time on implementing all these superfluous functions, please gimme some lovin’. Ouch.
“Backup” - Why?! All your music is in iTunes anyway, back *that* up, and back up your user!
“Optimize” - yeah, right. Your iPod has an automatic feature for this, forget it. If it acts up too much, reset it.
“Repair” - see backup
“Undelete” - see backup.
“Shred” - read the text, ROTFLMAO!
“Duplicate” - looking at the “shred” text I am now under the impression that Pod Genius suffers from multiple personality disorder, and again, this feature makes ZERO sense since you can just use iTunes to do this & shove whatever notes over manually.
“Scan” - for the paranoiac with too much free time.
“Info” - by the way, there is this thing called disc tool on your Mac, you should know about that…
In conclusion, this is a $59 tool intended for the clueless. Maybe the same people who buy anti-virus software for OS X. Maybe they deserve no better, I have no idea.
